ABOUT K9 OPSBOX
K9 OPSBOX (Canine Olfactory Proficiency System) was developed to maintain a detection dog's proficiency to target odor. This Canine Olfactory Proficiency System was invented by Frank Romano with over 34 years of experience training detection dogs for the military, law enforcement and nose-work sport enthusiasts.
K9 OPSBOX keeps dogs proficient to target odor. This is accomplished by giving trainers and handlers the ability to train daily with ease and without the worry of contamination from previous odor training in the same area. This is done through specially designed aluminum boxes and rack system. This series of boxes includes a rapid deployable system of lightweight collapsible aluminum boxes and rack to be deployed anywhere.
Finding uncontaminated search areas to train on a daily basis can be a difficult task. Training in the same areas where target odor has recently been set up can have disastrous effects on your K9’s performance and interfere with the ability to proficiently train daily. It can also be frustrating for K9s and handlers.
Target odor set out for training from previous training sessions, can linger for days even weeks depending on airflow where target odor was hidden. K9 OPSBOX helps solve this problem. Now training can be conducted each day in the same area using the K9 OPSBOX System. No need to worry about contamination. The target odor box is continuously moved to different positions along with blank and distracting odor boxes.
K9 OPSBOX can help with many other training issues as enforcing obedience to target odor, proofing off distracting odors, generalization, stimulus discrimination to target odor only and works high/low finds.
